Description
There are a few reasons why I love this photo. At the beginning of this year I told myself that I wanted to challenge myself by approaching people to ask if I can take their photo. This was the first time I had ever done it.
On Sunday, May 5th, I saw this family holding their signs along the sidewalks of backroads after church. Seeing that we shared common beliefs, I felt led to approach them. I was a bit nervous, but also excited. They were so happy that I asked to take their photo, and invited me to join them the next time they held up truth.
With how unsafe the world is now, I admire their strength and courage to share their belief in God so openly. It inspired me to be courageous in what I’d challenged myself with at the start of this year, and this was a great first opportunity to do so.
Naturally one would say that this is a photo of strangers, but brothers and sisters in Christ are no stranger to me.
“…Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” - Joshua 1:9
